This is not the intended use, but by pushing the plastic separator close to the angle, both legs becomes 7mm long - suitable for insertion into headers, so they can act as perfect extensions to female headers which bring the (now male) pins out to the side of an enclosure/breadboard. Female crimp wires can be securely attached.

I've tried to botch some straight break away headers but they are too short.
I used these right angle headers for connecting a stepper motor to a driver board which is in a stack. Using a crimp connector is a lot quicker then unscrewing a screw terminal.

Handy when space is tight – inside an enlosure, for example – and incredibly cheap.
A row of 40 break to fit right angled headers that can be cut to any size. Used with custom PCBs or general custom headers.
