Very easy to use, has good quality drivers for every operating system going (incl. Linux and Mac OS X) and sensible programming interface. Appears on the PC as a simple COM port which you can send GPIB commands down as strings. The manual is also clear and thorough.
Much cheaper than, for example, a GPIB interface card from National Instruments
