Hi There
This is 1/4" heat shrink and shrinks to half its size as stated in the description.
This means it shrinks to 1/8" or about 3mm.
If you are trying to shrink it to fit around 2mm wires then its the wrong starting size to use - you would need heatshrink that is around 4mm to start with - or one of our heatshrink packs.

I use wires which are about 2mm in diameter. I use a Bosch heat gun (paint stripper) as a heat source. It can take the skin off your hands in seconds. The quarter inch size just won't shrink enough for my needs. If I were putting two or three wires together then it would be fine but for insulating home made connectors it's not what I'm looking for.
