This kit includes a semi-populated PCB, with all of the surface mount components already soldered on for you. The components left for you to solder are all through-hole. This is on the higher end of difficulty as far as through-hole kits go.
This kit pairs nicely with our BNC Probe Kit! A 9V power supply is required to run the oscilloscope; supply is not included.

This SparkFun digital oscilloscope kit contains everything you need to make a fully working oscilloscope. With the capability to deliver as many as 5M samples per second; 8 bit resolution; and a maximum input voltage of 50Vpp, this is a great kit for advanced electronics hobbyists. With through hole soldering to do in some key areas the oscilloscope kit is at the higher end of the trickiness scale – a degree of previous experience is definitely advised.
In order to run the kit you will need to purchase and attach a 9V power supply. The input is there but the supply itself is not included.
