Description

RJ45 Breakout Board with Mounting Holes (PCB Only)

RJ45 Breakout Boards and connectors are mainly used for Ethernet jacks, but they make great general-purpose connectors when you need a lot of conductors. This is a small PCB that brings out the pins of the RJ45 connector to an in-line 0.1" footprint. Use break-away headers for breadboarding or create your own RJ45 cable.

    Good quality

These PCB's are good quality and value for money. However, I'm sure I bought some last year where the RJ45 socket was already included with the board from Proto Pic? Anyway, still better quality from Prot Pic and the price is still competitive too.

useful little board - pity that RJ45 sockets are not already breadboard friendly

Holds up to repeated soldering and desoldering after I got things wrong the first time (and, ahem, the second time too). It also has solder pads on both sides of the board, which is pretty handy.

I purchased a few of these to join two circuits with RJ-45 network cable - the pin header locations are breadboard friendly, and easy to solder.
