Power Boards
We stock a wide range of power boards from Adafruit, SparkFun and Pololu including step-up, step-down and adjustable voltage regulators. A step-up (or boost) voltage regulator can take a lower voltage and increase it to a desired set output voltage. Step-down (or buck) regulators are able to do the opposite and take a higher voltage and decrease it to a set output while adjustable voltage regulators are capable of both operations and can be set convert either lower or higher voltages to a determined output. They are compatible with many development platforms like Arduino and allow these systems to power devices with a wider range of voltage requirements than is possible with just a standard microcontroller chip.
