Speakers
Speaker vs Transducer?
What's the difference? A simple explanation is that a speaker works by moving its cone, which causes air to move around, creating an audible sound. A transducer works by moving an object or surface, in contact, causing that object or surface to move air to create the sound.
Who invented the loudspeaker?
The dynamic speaker was invented by Edward W. Kellogg and Chester W. Rice, in 1925. A US Patent was issued on the 2nd of April 1929.
