Electronic sewing is a little bit different than regular sewing. Even if you already know how to sew, this page has some helpful tips for working with conductive thread.

Needle set

These sets of sewing needles is a must-have when stitching together e-textile projects. Start by threading a needle with your conductive thread. Try pinching the thread between your fingers as you guide it through the eye of the needle. Magnetic Snap

Magnetic snaps are an invisible closure that can be used for accessories such as bags, clutches and purses. A snap is fun, but a magnetic snap adds a whole new layer of possibilities. These are relatively large snaps. They couple together very strongly and must be pried apart. They rotate freely on their axis and are electrically conductive. We’ve seen snaps like these soldered onto PCBs and batteries to form a strong, but quick disconnect mechanism.
