Had fun with this and learned a lot. No guide but the "Getting starting with Arduino" guidebook, available separately I think, was very useful

I'm new to Arduino and electronics in general so this is very much 'square one' for me. The box is packed with everything I needed to get started. Inside an hour I'd got LEDs flashing and seeing how data was being handled by the UNO. It's got enough in the box to keep me busy for the next few weeks.
A very gentle introduction to the Arduino. Well worth the investment.
You can spend quite a bit on books with various projects. I've gone the whole hog and bought the Arduino Cookbook which is turning out very well

For anyone wanting, like me, to get started with the Arduino Uno, this kit is just the job. There's a great variety of parts and the storage box keeps everything together.
I'd recommend also buying the Getting Started With Arduino book which introduces all the key concepts and will literally get you started :-)

This kit is a fantastic starter kit for anyone just getting started. I agree with another reviewer than it could use a manual, just to help beginners get started with using the components in the kit.

I looked around for different Arduino starter kits for a while and this one seemed both thorough and well priced. It came within one day of ordering which was nice and I am now working away with all the parts. I will definitely be using this site again.

This kit is great value for money. I was looking for a way to get started with Arduino and this kit has all the things you'll need to get going.
The only thing lacking was a manual so I ordered the Getting Started with Arduino book by Massimo Banzi at the same time.

Having looked at all sorts of different kits trying to decide the best way to start learning about arduino this seemed like the best, and I wasn't wrong. It has loads of different parts, all quality and packaged in a nice box to house everything.
Delivery was great to - received an email stating the hour of the day it was to be delivered - and it arrived smack bang in the middle of that hour! Great

I bought my kit just recently and was pleasantly surprised that it DID come with a USB cable, its quite a short one, but what more do you need.
There are loads and loads of components in this kit, i reckon its the best value for money kit on the market

Great for getting started and learning lots of different things you can do with an Arduino.
Only things missing are an instruction book. There is plenty of help on the Internet, but a downloadable PDF project book from Proto-pic would be great.
The other improvement would be to replace, say 10, of the all-male jump leads, with some female-female leads. That would enable connection to some other boards such as the "125Khz RFID module - UART".
