The Proto-PIC Starter Kit for Arduino UNO is a great way to get started in the wonderful world of Arduino.
Our Kit has been designed to be the perfect way to get everything you need in one bundle. We even included a battery clip so that you can make your Project Mobile!
As of 12:00 on the 21st March we now supply these kits with a USB A-B cable.

Great kit for the money

I bought my kit just recently and was pleasantly surprised that it DID come with a USB cable, its quite a short one, but what more do you need.
There are loads and loads of components in this kit, i reckon its the best value for money kit on the market

Just needs F-F jumpers

Great for getting started and learning lots of different things you can do with an Arduino.
Only things missing are an instruction book. There is plenty of help on the Internet, but a downloadable PDF project book from Proto-pic would be great.
The other improvement would be to replace, say 10, of the all-male jump leads, with some female-female leads. That would enable connection to some other boards such as the "125Khz RFID module - UART".

USB cable not included, so buy one with the kit to save postage costs. Good box for bits, and came packed in a decent plastic box too. delivery prompt, all round good product.

Ive bought a few different arduino UNO starter kits over the last couple of years and take it from me, this one is great.
it has everything that you might need to get started. I guess it is aimed at people who already know the UNO to some extent or who aren't afraid of using google to get the info to get started.
If you need a book to help you along, consider "getting started with arduino:make projects" by massimo banzi. It's a step by step walk through of how to get the best from the UNO
