Arduino Pro Mini 328 – 5V 16MHz – SparkFun DEV-11113

It’s blue! It’s thin! It’s the Arduino Pro Mini! SparkFun’s minimal design approach to Arduino. This is a 5V Arduino running the 16MHz bootloader. Arduino Pro Mini does not come with connectors populated so that you can solder in any connector or wire with any orientation you need. We recommend the first-time Arduino users start with the Uno R3 or RedBoard. It’s a great board that will get you up and running quickly. The Arduino Pro series is meant for users that understand the limitations of system voltage (5V), lack of connectors, and USB off-board.

We really wanted to minimize the cost of an Arduino. In order to accomplish this, we used all SMD components, made it two layers, etc. This board connects directly to the FTDI Basic Breakout board and supports auto-reset. The Arduino Pro Mini also works with the FTDI cable but the FTDI cable does not bring out the DTR pin so the auto-reset feature will not work. There is a voltage regulator on board so it can accept voltage up to 12VDC. If you’re supplying unregulated power to the board, be sure to connect to the “RAW” pin and not VCC.

The latest and greatest version of this board breaks out the ADC6 and ADC7 pins as well as adds footprints for optional I2C pull-up resistors!

We also have a low-cost compatible clone version.

Tiny but perfect for whayt I wanted.

  2. Daniel Sma

The Arduino Pro Mini is the best arduino for the job, I use it to interface with an sd card in order to play triggered audio for a use in a product at work. Its small form factor and large memory size means that its capable of fluid playback of audio will

Combine this with a Lillypad FTDI USB Converter, and you’ve got yourself the same as an Arduino Uno with a couple of extra ports. Bear in mind you’ll be limited by some constraints, such as the 5v limitation, so you may have to do level shifting or some t

Firstly I need to mention that this company offers fantastic customer service, and genuinely follows up any concerns, this is always great to see.The Arduino Pro Mini 328 – 5V/16MHz is a very versatile and superb bit of kit, I received my order promptly

  5. Neil Green

The only thing the Pro Mini really lacks is built-in serial communication, but there are holes on the board to solder in pins for connecting an FTDI adapter. This and the Arduino Micro are my two favourite microcontrollers.

Small and good! For any projects that need less space…Remember to buy a usb ftdi or just wire it up with an Arduino Uno 🙂

  7. @Dexter

This is the way to go when you take your project off the Uno and into the real world. It has the same functionality as the Uno, only in a much smaller, slimmer package that makes it ideal for integrating into larger projects.100mil pin spacing, easy to
