An integrated circuit also referred to as ICs, chips, or microchips are a set of electronic circuits on one small flat piece (or “chip”) of semiconductor material, usually silicon. These can be found in pretty much any electrical device you’ll find. An IC is a neat way of cramming hundreds, thousands, millions, or even billions of electronic components onto tiny chips of silicon no bigger than a fingernail!
