Loading... Please wait...This stereo audio amplifier kit can be used with any personal stereo equipment, including MP3 players. It uses a TDA2822M audio amplifer IC which can output 1W per channel. The kit is supplied with two speakers and a pre-made jack plug.

It has a PP3 battery clip and can run off any voltage from 2 to 15 volts.
It works nicely off a 9V battery (not supplied).

This is a great kit, and explains the workings of the amplifier IC greatly.
Sadly, the kit comes with a fixed volume setting, so you can't boost the volume up.
So, here's a tip -
I'm running on 5v or less, so change the following...
CHANNEL A : R5 & R1
CHANNEL B : R6 & R2
So that they are replaced by a 10K Potentiometer. The middle leg goes to the IC, the left leg receives the audio signal, and the right leg goes to ground.
Of course you try it at your own risk but hey, electronics wouldn't be fun if you had a component go up in smoke occaisionally, right?
