Description
40 Pin Break-Away Female Headers - 0.1" Pitch
A single row of 40-holes, female header. Can be cut to size with a pair of wire-cutters. Standard .1" spacing. We use them extensively in the Olimex development boards. They mate very well with breakaway male headers.

Notes:
- You will more than likely lose one pin with each cut you make so you might want to consider buying more than you need.

So, not really berak-away but if you want 4way then remove the 5th connector then snip with wire cutters. Much cheaper than real break-away.

40 way header that can be cut to any size and much cheaper than the 10 Pin Stackable Header for Arduino and just as good.

I use these all the time. I like to solder up my finished projects onto strip board and use M:M jump leads (PPCAB110C4M ) to connect them to Arduinos or other breakout boards. These headers allow you to build really neat project boards. Cutting the header

The pins are not long enough to reliably clip into breadboards or connectors on Arduinos. They are the ideal length for soldering into prototype shields.
