Cherry MX Keyswitches are not just the industry standard, but they're adictively clicky and reliable for tens-of-millions of key presses too!
This Cherry MX Switch Breakout Board is an easy way to use our Cherry MX Switches with breadboard or perfboard based projects ranging from a single-key user-input to fully-custom 101-key keyboards.
In addition to breaking out the switch contacts to breadboard-compatible headers, the Cherry MX Switch Breakout also provides access to an optional switch-mounted LED. Plus, the pin break-outs are designed with keyboard matrix-ing in mind, so you can interconnect as many boards as you'd like into a row-column configuration, keeping the I/O-pin requirements as low as possible.

Board Pin Out:

If you want to add an LED you'll want a 3mm LED and also a current limiting resistor.

Schematic:

• If you plan on interconnecting four-or-more Cherry MX Breakout Boards in a matrix or row, you may also want to consider adding a small-signal diode to help prevent "ghosting"
