Fuse, Fast Blow, 5mm x 20mm – 250V AC, Range

This is a glass ferrule-type fuse. It fits great with our 5mm fuse clips or our inline fuse holders.
The fuse is rated for 250VAC, and depending on which version you select, from 0.5A right up to 20A.
Fuses are pretty simple devices. If more than the rated current passes through the fuse, the small filament inside the fuse heats up and breaks (like a light bulb burning out). The circuit is then broken and hopefully, your circuit is saved from molten destruction.

Notes:

• For smaller loads, you may want to check out a PTC (aka resettable fuse). These handle less current (500mA) but can be set and reset many times without doing harm to your system.
