Description
micro:arcade kit for micro:bit v2.0
Kids and adults alike love games. Since the 70s they have invaded our homes and interrupted our homework to no end! With the SparkFun micro:arcade kit for micro:bit you can now build your very own game console with the added benefit of learning along the way. This kit includes the Controller:bit carrier board, allowing you to access a plethora of pins in the same formation as the buttons on a classic NES controller. With just a little bit of tinkering you can transform the classic controller into a makeshift arcade cabniet by adding a few buttons and switches.
Contained within the micro:arcade kit are all the parts you will need to turn your micro:bit into a living room games console. The only parts not included are two AAA batteries and the micro:bit itself. Simply add your own micro:bit to the provided controller:bit, assemble the kit, and you will be ready to start playing.
The kit does not require any soldering and is recommended for anyone curious about gaming or the micro:bit platform. When you are ready to control more than just games, the SparkFun controller:bit is equipped with the SparkFun Qwiic system to allow you to expand your curiosity to an ever growing ecosystem of sensors & controllers! The arcade:kit can be used for just about any use case which requires multiple control inputs, like controlling a robot/RC car or manipulating a mechanical arm!
Note: The SparkFun micro:arcade kit does NOT include a micro:bit board. The micro:bit board will need to be purchased separately.
