RJ45 8-Pin PTH Connector - SparkFun PRT-00643
These are simple through-hole RJ45 sockets with PCB mounting posts.
These 8-pin connectors are commonly used in conjunction with Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 Ethernet cables. Because Ethernet cable is so ubiquitous, these are awesome for projects where you need to string a lot of modules together over a distance.

- Contacts: Phosphor Bronze, Gold Plated 6u" on contact area, Gold Flash on other areas, over Nickel

Good quality socket
These sockets are good quality and value for money. However, I'm sure I bought some last year where this RJ45 socket was already included with the board from Proto Pic? Anyway, still better quality from Prot Pic and the price is still competitive too.
