Transceiver nRF24L01+ Module with Chip Antenna - SparkFun WRL-00691 - Discontinued
The nRF24L01+ is a single chip 2.4GHz transceiver with an embedded baseband protocol engine (Enhanced ShockBurst™), suitable for ultra low power wireless applications. The nRF24L01+ is designed for operation in the worldwide ISM frequency band at 2.400 - 2.4835GHz.
This module uses the newest 2.4GHz transceiver from Nordic Semiconductor, the nRF24L01+.
The nRF24L01+ transceiver ICs operates in the 2.4GHz band and comes with some nice upgrades from the nRF24L01A such as extra pipelines, buffers, and favourite of all an auto-retransmit feature

These modules do what they say on the tin and work perfectly. The Sparkfun module with a connector for a Duck antenna will doubtless give better range but at the expense of having to find space for the antenna.
