This board is a great budget, entry level starting point for getting into FPGA development, comprising a Spartan-6 (XC6SLX16-2FTG256c) complete with 32MB SDRAM (Micron MT48LC16M16A2), 5V DC jack, a 6pin JTAG debug port, SPI, debug LEDs and a massive array of breakout pins.
The board also has an internal 3V3 regulator for power distribution.
The breakout pins are on a 2.54mm pitch allowing easy access and are perfect for adding the follow:

• USB Modules
• High-Speed ADC Acquisition Modules
• CMOS Cameras,
• LCD Displays
• Sensors - positioning / proximity / Ir / ultrasonic / gas / temperature etc
