Description
Haptic Motor Driver - DRV2605L
You won't be needing the Beach Boys when you have the SparkFun Haptic Motor Driver at hand to add some good vibrations to your project! Using the DRV2605L from Texas Instruments, This board breaks out the chip to add valuable feedback from your devices using this breakout and an Arduino-compatible device.
The DRV2605L is capable of driving two different types of motors, ERM and LRA. However, please be aware that the standard firmware is configured for ERM-type motors. The handy folk at SparkFun have created an Arduino library that makes the DRV2605L easy to use with six different ERM effects and one LRA effect.
This breakout Board features 6 pins which provide power to both the sensor and the I2C bus. Ensure your microcontroller supports I2C, as it is needed to communicate with DRV2605L and output the data to the user by means of vibration.
