Shift Register Breakout - 8-Bit - 74HC595 - SparkFun BOB-10680
Here we have another beautiful breakout from our friends at Sparkfun. The SOIC version of the 74HC595 shift register IC. Utilising Clock in data and latch it, which in turn frees up IO pins on your micro.
With this particular shift register breakout board, all pins from the IC are broken out to standard 0.1" spaced headers, making it super versatile.
The Serial in and out pins are on opposite sides of the board with the remaining pins carried over. Because of this multiple shift-register breakout boards can be chained together. Super!
