Description
Infrared Proximity Sensor Short Range - GP2Y0A41SK0F
This fancy Infrared Proximity Sensor is essentially a distance measuring sensor unit, composed of an integrated combination of PSD (position sensitive detector) , IR-LED (infrared-emitting diode), and a signal processing circuit.
The variety of the reflectivity of the object, the environmental temperature, and the operating duration are not influenced easily to the distance detection because of adopting the triangulation method.
This device outputs the voltage corresponding to the detection distance. So this sensor can also be used as a proximity sensor.
Infrared proximity sensor GP2Y0A41SK0F from Sharp has an analog output that varies from 3.1V at 4cm to 0.3V at 30cm with a supply voltage between 4.5 and 5.5VDC. The sensor has a Japanese Solderless Terminal (JST) Connector.
We recommend purchasing this JST jumper pigtail wire from hooking it up to your projects or soldering wires directly to the back of the module.
Perfect sensor for a robot.
